Swollen and aching joints- if your joints are inflamed then it may cause pain and stiffness and may even show visible swelling of the joints. It is common for this symptom to be most pronounced in the morning. It is likely that it will be mild at first and then get worse. Like most of the lupus symptoms it is common that this will come and go with flare-ups. Over the counter medication may help to ease the pain and bring down the inflammation. Associating this pain with lupus can be hard as it is very similar to other conditions such as arthritis.
