Covid-19, or corona virus, is something that you have probably heard a lot about recently. But, does lupus put you at a higher risk of getting ill from Covid-19?
In the UK, older adults and people that have an underlying health condition are put in to the high-risk category. This means that they should avoid social contact and those with the highest risk must shield from the virus.
As this virus is new it is hard to comment with confidence on the effects of covid-19 in patients with lupus, however we would urge caution and are very happy to see patients via telephone, video or face-to-face if you are worried, your condition has changed or you would like a check up.
