London Lupus Centre consultants are at the forefront of research, treatment and ongoing monitoring of lupus and its associated conditions: Hughes Syndrome Hughes’ (antiphospholipid) Syndrome and Sjogren’s Syndrome. The London Lupus Centre see patients with rheumatic disease from all over the world, and we are a dedicated centre for the treatment of lupus.
As one of the largest private hospitals in the UK specialising in Lupus treatment, The London Bridge Hospital offers the finest surroundings and services for inpatient, outpatient and day case lupus treatment. Over 40 specialties are represented on site, including renal dialysis, cardiothoracic and intensive care. In addition to our outpatient services, we provide full inpatient care if admission to hospital for further treatment is needed.
WHAT IS LUPUS?
Lupus is a disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs (autoimmune disease). Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems — including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.
